Ford Explorer National Launch – one of three spots conceived for broadcast

The original title for this spot was; “Breaking the Sound Barrier”.

This concept tells the story of how the new Ford Explorer has a more powerful engine while demonstrating the incredibly quiet interior ride. The idiom, “Breaking the Sound Barrier”, implies the ability to reach speeds faster than sound without experiencing higher atmospheric disturbances. Samples below include the original concept board, and the presentation storyboards for the animatic and pre-production approval.
